After School Club Assistant - Purley, Croydon
Tradewind are Teaching Assistants interested in part-time and flexible support work at a primary school based in the Purley area. We specifically provide support for wrap-around care, and require an engaging and commited After School Club Assistant for this long-term contract!
This role is perfect for individuals seeking part-time work whilst continuing a career supporting children in education. As an After School Club Assistant, you will provide support and host activities with children between 2:45pm - 6:15pm daily. We would ideally seek a TA with prior experience working in a primary or nursery setting, but not compulsory.
What to expect as a After School Club Assistant? Responsibilities include:
Supervise children and ensure their safety and wellbeing.
Organise and assist with fun, age-appropriate activities.
Encourage positive behaviour, teamwork, and social development.
Support children with homework and individual needs.
Prepare and serve snacks while following hygiene procedures.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment.
Manage attendance and ensure safe collection by authorised adults.
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues.
Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns.
Support children's emotional wellbeing and inclusion.
Follow health and safety policies and club procedures
Pay: £15.00 hourly rate with 2 hours paid as a minimum for all staff. After school club assistance role is set to 3 hours from 2:45pm - 6:15pm.
