Our accountancy practice client is seeking a Payroll Administrator for a 12-month fixed-term contract to work on both client and internal payrolls. This is a successful, forward-thinking firm that continues to grow, providing accountancy and advisory services to a range of business owners, international groups and HNWIs.
The ideal candidate will have extensive payroll experience gained within a UK accountancy practice or payroll bureau. Along with a competitive salary, depending upon experience, as Payroll Administrator you’ll be offered a good benefits package, early finish on Fridays, flexible, hybrid working and free onsite parking.
As Payroll Administrator your responsibilities will include:
-
Accurately processing allocated client payrolls on a weekly and monthly basis, from receipt of data through to payslips, RTI submissions and client reporting to deadlines
-
Managing pension administration for allocated clients, including auto enrolment
-
Preparing and submitting monthly CIS returns for allocated clients, within HMRC deadlines
-
Preparing and submitting BACS payment files for client net pay and HMRC liabilities
-
Handling client payroll queries, escalating complex matters to the relevant manager
-
Maintaining clear communication with clients on deadlines and outstanding information
-
Processing the firm’s internal monthly payroll, with final Partner review before submission
-
Following documented payroll processes and keeping them current
-
Responding to client queries promptly and professionally
-
Documenting work so the service runs without disruption at contract end handover
Given that this role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, candidates will need to be confident in carrying out the responsibilities above with minimal training and supervision – ideally, the successful candidate will be able to ‘hit the ground running’.
Please apply for this Payroll Administrator contract role if you satisfy the following:
-
Be able to run payrolls with the minimum of supervision
-
Have previous experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau environment
-
