Are you a qualified LANTRA Traffic Management Operative looking for flexible agency work, competitive rates of pay, and the opportunity to work on a variety of highway and infrastructure projects?
Coyles are recruiting reliable Traffic Management Operatives on behalf of busy and rapidly growing Traffic Management companies with substantial programs of work across London, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.
We are looking to build a reliable team of operatives for a combination of AD HOC, short-term and ongoing assignments, offering regular opportunities across days, nights and weekends.
✅ The Role
As part of our Traffic Management workforce, you will play a key role in keeping motorists, pedestrians, and workforces safe across a wide range of traffic management projects.
Duties could Include:
- Operation and maintenance of Manual Control Traffic Light sites
- Setting up and collecting Traffic Management installations (12D M5 Depot Roles)
- Manning Road Closures and Diversion Routes
- Operating Stop & Go Systems
- Depot-based duties meeting client ops
- Working closely with supervisors, highways teams and clients
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with Chapter 8 and Health & Safety requirements
This is a varied role offering a mix of site-based and depot-based work, providing excellent opportunities to gain experience and become part of a growing Traffic Management operation.

🎓 Essential Qualifications
Applicants should hold one or more of the following:
- LANTRA TTMBC
- LANTRA T1/T2
- LANTRA T5
- Gate Air Lock
- 12D M1/M2
- 12D M5
Desirable
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
- Previous Traffic Management Experience
- Safety Critical Medical
- Professional and Reliable Attitude
- Flexibility to travel to various project locations
