CNC Machinist – Miller
We are currently recruiting an experienced CNC Machinist (Miller) to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will have experience programming, setting and operating CNC Vertical Machining Centres, ideally using HAAS and XYZ machines. Experience using CAD/CAM software and machine control systems is essential.
Experience with the Mazak Integrex range would also be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities

Programme, set and operate CNC milling machines, primarily Vertical Machining Centres.

Use HAAS and XYZ machine controls.

Utilise CAD/CAM software to support machining operations.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Select appropriate tooling, materials and machining methods.

Carry out precision machining to required tolerances.

Monitor machine performance and maintain consistent quality standards.

Inspect completed components using appropriate measuring equipment.

Identify and resolve machining, tooling and equipment issues.

Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a CNC Miller.

Strong programming, setting and operating experience.

Experience with HAAS and/or XYZ Vertical Machining Centres.

Competent in interpreting engineering drawings.

Good knowledge of tooling, machining techniques and cutting parameters.

Experience using CAD/CAM software.

Familiarity with SolidWorks would be advantageous.

Previous experience with Mazak Integrex machines would be beneficial.

Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
