We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver (LGV Category C) to work for us on behalf of our leading Leicester-based client.
This is a full-time and permanent position, collecting palletised goods for our customer. The role offers consistent weekday hours, competitive pay, and the opportunity to join a supportive and well-established team.
The successful candidate will be safety-focused, customer-oriented, and capable of managing a varied daily workload while maintaining high standards of professionalism and compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out pallet collections in a safe and efficient manner, then deliver to centralised hub.

Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle in accordance with all legal and company requirements.

Complete daily vehicle walkaround checks and report any defects promptly.

Use a tail lift to load and load pallets

Complete electronic Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation accurately.

Use company-approved smartphone applications for POD completion, vehicle checks, and transport-related tasks.
Essential Requirements

Valid LGV Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.

Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.

Previous Class 2 driving experience is essential.

Experience operating vehicles fitted with tail lifts.

Ability and willingness to use an electric pallet truck when required.

Good knowledge of road transport regulations and driver compliance requirements.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Own smartphone required for electronic POD completion, vehicle checks, and transport applications.
