Consultant Psychiatrist | Remote ADHD Assessments | £250 per Assessment Location: Fully Remote, UK
Rate: £250 per Assessment
Job Type: Contract / Associate
Focus on the clinical work, with the right support around you.
Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist looking for additional remote ADHD assessment work, without the administrative burden often associated with independent practice?
We're working with an established, NHS-commissioned ADHD assessment service that has developed a clinical pathway designed to make the best use of your specialist expertise.
Rather than expecting psychiatrists to manage every stage of the assessment process, the service uses a multidisciplinary approach, with GPs and a dedicated patient care team completing much of the preparatory work.
How does the role work?
GP-led preparation. Structured ADHD symptom assessments, medical histories and physical health reviews are completed before your consultation.
Clinical information ready in advance. Patient information is collated beforehand, with clinical scribing technology helping to streamline report writing.
Focused psychiatric assessment. Your role centres on reviewing the evidence, exploring differential diagnoses, conducting the psychiatric consultation and making the final diagnostic decision.
Separate treatment pathway. GPs manage medication initiation and routine titration, with consultant involvement in clinical escalation and shared care oversight where required.
Multidisciplinary support. Access to GP colleagues and specialist clinical input, including cardiology where appropriate.
What are we looking for? We're keen to speak with GMC-registered Consultant Psychiatrists who have:
Experience conducting ADHD diagnostic assessments.
Strong psychiatric assessment and differential diagnosis skills.
Experience working within multidisciplinary clinical services.
An interest in delivering high-quality ADHD assessments within a structured, supported pathway.
What's on offer? £250 per assessment, with the opportunity to undertake remote ADHD assessment work alongside your existing commitments.
The service has been structured to reduce the administrative and preparatory responsibilities placed on psychiatrists, allowing you to concentrate on clinical assessment and diagnostic decision-making.
We appreciate that the structure of an assessment is just as important as the rate. We're happy to talk you through the full clinical pathway, including the responsibilities before and after each consultation, so you can decide whether it's the right fit.
