Estimator - Coventry
Location: Coventry (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home)
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + car or allowance, pension, healthcare, 26 days#

The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established and highly respected construction business looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join its team in Coventry.

The Role
As Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction and tendering process, working closely with colleagues across the business to produce accurate, competitive and commercially robust estimates.
Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.

Reviewing tender documentation, drawings, specifications and scopes of work.

Obtaining, analysing and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations.

Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering options.

Working collaboratively with the wider pre-construction, commercial and operational teams.

Supporting the preparation and submission of competitive tenders.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Ensuring estimates are commercially sound and delivered within agreed timescales.
About You
We are looking to speak with an experienced Estimator who has a strong understanding of the construction industry and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
You will ideally have:

Proven experience in an Estimating role within the construction industry.

Strong commercial awareness and excellent attention to detail.

The ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

Experience of preparing and managing competitive tenders.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
