A leading Tier 1 contractor is looking for a Civils Estimator to join its team on a major UK airport framework. This is a 2 year contract on a long-term capital programme of civils and infrastructure works.
The role
Prepare accurate estimates and tenders for civils packages
Build up rates from first principles, using supplier and subcontractor quotes
Review drawings, specifications and bills of quantities
Run subcontractor enquiries and tender comparisons
Work with planners, commercial and delivery teams to price buildable, deliverable solutions
Support change control, variations and cost forecasting through the contractAbout you
Proven estimating experience in civils or infrastructure
Experience in a live operational environment (airports, rail or highways) is desirable
Strong knowledge of estimating software and rate build-ups
Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
