School Caretaker - Secondary School
Location: Sittingbourne
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Caretaker to join a busy secondary school in Sittingbourne.
This is a great opportunity for a reliable, hands-on individual to support the day-to-day running of the school site, helping to ensure the buildings and grounds remain safe, secure and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Opening and securing the school site
Carrying out daily site inspections and security checks
Completing general maintenance and minor repairs
Keeping the site safe, clean and presentable
Setting up rooms and areas for school activities and events
Liaising with contractors and reporting maintenance issues
Supporting with general premises and facilities duties
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in caretaking, premises or facilities management
Good practical skills and general maintenance knowledge
A reliable, proactive and hands-on approach
A good understanding of health and safety
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous school-based experience would be an advantage
A valid DBS or willingness to complete the DBS process before starting
