I am currently representing Waltham Forest Council who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience
We are looking for a Insurance Officer this role will be based at: Hybrid E17 4JF
The right candidate will:

Set up and submit to external insurers, routine insurance claims made by and/or against the Council.

Process routine claims covering all aspects of the Council's insurances, including third party claims.

Negotiate property and liability claims within Council's handling arrangements.

Deal with general correspondence, telephone calls, emails and personal callers mainly in own area of work.

Assist with the investigation of claims as required, including claims to be met from internal resources and those that exceed the policy excess levels that will be met from insurance policies.
We require the following:

Experience with EL/PL is essential

Experience of making liability decisions
-
Non-life insurance experience (public or private sector) of motor, public liability, employers liability and property insurance claims.
