Plant Coordinator – Construction / Civil Engineering

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Plant Coordinator to join an established civil engineering and construction contractor based in the Ruislip / Iver area.
My client is looking for an organised and proactive individual to oversee the coordination, maintenance and compliance of construction plant and equipment across multiple sites.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in plant hire, construction equipment or plant administration who is looking to join a busy and well-established business.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate plant maintenance, servicing, repairs and certification across multiple construction sites.

Ensure all plant and equipment inspections, certifications and compliance records remain up to date.

Liaise with site teams, fitters, suppliers and external hire companies.

Raise purchase orders for plant parts, materials and yard supplies.

Monitor plant defects and arrange repairs to minimise downtime.

Maintain accurate plant registers, service records and equipment documentation.

Produce monthly plant cost reports and monitor equipment expenditure.

Assist with yard health and safety procedures, audits and toolbox talks.

Monitor PPE stock, equipment movements and associated costs.

Support the efficient day-to-day running of the plant department.
Requirements

Previous experience in a Plant Coordinator, Plant Administrator, Hire Controller or similar position.

Ideally a background within civil engineering, construction, groundwork or plant hire.

Good understanding of construction plant, machinery and maintenance requirements.

Strong organisational and administrative skills.

Confident dealing with site managers, suppliers and maintenance teams.

Good IT skills, including Excel and plant management systems.

A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
