Trident Recruitment is recruiting CNC Millers for a specialist engineering company in Portsmouth, manufacturing composite moulds and tooling for Formula 1.
Opportunities are available for experienced CNC Programmer/Setter/Operators and Setter/Operators, with weekday day, weekday night and weekend day shifts available.
The Role
-
Set and operate 3-axis or 5-axis CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls.

Programme machines where applicable to your role and experience.

Machine complex moulds and tooling to engineering drawings and specifications.

Inspect work to ensure accuracy, quality and surface finish.

Work closely with the manufacturing team to meet production deadlines.
Experience Required
-
Heidenhain control experience – essential.
-
3-axis or 5-axis CNC milling experience – essential.
-
3D form machining experience – preferred.
-
HyperMill experience – desirable, with training provided.

A strong eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Weekday Day Shift – Programmer/Setter/Operators & Setter/Operators
40 hours across five days:
Monday–Friday, 07:30–15:30.
Ample overtime available.
Weekday Night Shift – Programmer/Setter/Operators
40 hours across four nights:
Monday–Thursday, 17:30–03:30.
Time-and-a-third shift allowance, with overtime available.
Weekend Day Shift – Programmer/Setter/Operators & Setter/Operators
36 hours across four days:
Time-and-a-third shift allowance.
