Residential Property Lawyer | Help Build Something of Your Own
Swindon | Up to £80,000 + bonus | Senior level through to Partner
Ever fancied having a bigger say in how a conveyancing team is run, rather than simply inheriting another caseload and getting on with it? This could be right up your street!
I'm working with an established Wiltshire law firm looking to grow its residential conveyancing presence in Swindon and they're looking for an experienced Lawyer to help make that happen.
The really exciting bit? They're open-minded about the level of person they bring in, potentially right up to Partner. Whether you're an experienced fee earner ready for that next step or already operating at a senior level and looking for a fresh challenge, there's real scope to shape the role around your strengths and ambitions.
What's on Offer?
This isn't about joining an established team and doing more of the same. You'll have the backing of a well-established firm, but the opportunity to help build its Swindon conveyancing offering, develop local relationships and influence how the team grows.
If you've ever wanted more ownership over the direction of a department and the chance to put your own stamp on it, this could be a particularly interesting move.
About The Firm:
With roots dating back to 1885, this established, multi-office Wiltshire firm advises individuals and businesses across a broad range of legal services. It has a strong local presence and prides itself on providing approachable, specialist advice and building lasting client relationships.
The firm has recently moved its Swindon office into modern premises with room to grow, making this an exciting time to join as it develops its presence there.
Its conveyancing team also takes a collaborative approach to file management, with dedicated non-fee-earning support staff helping keep transactions moving. That means more time to focus on clients and building relationships, and less time buried in admin. Because, let's face it, nobody got into conveyancing because they love chasing paperwork all day!
What You Will Be Doing:
Managing a residential caseload covering sales, purchases, freehold and leasehold properties, new builds, transfers of equity and remortgages.
Building relationships with estate agents and other local introducers to generate new business.
Helping grow the firm's Swindon presence and develop its conveyancing offering.
Bringing ideas to the table and playing an active part in shaping the team as it develops.
The balance between fee earning, business development and leadership can be tailored to the right person's experience and ambitions.
Who Would Suit This?
You'll have solid residential conveyancing experience, ideally 5+ years' PQE as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive, although more senior candidates are very much encouraged to get in touch.
You'll also be personable, proactive and enjoy building relationships. You might already have a strong local network or simply be someone who wants to take their experience further and have more influence over what comes next.
The Package:
Salary up to £80,000, depending on experience and level.
Bonus scheme.
Company pension.
Employee discounts.
Support with professional accreditations and further study.
Flexible and supportive working environment.
Progression opportunities with real influence.
Company events.
If this sounds like the kind of opportunity you would be interested in hearing more about, I'd love to speak to you! Even if you're not actively looking, it's worth a chat to find out a bit more about what they have in mind and whether it could be the right next step for you.
