School Cook - To cover both Whitehaven & Workington
Locations: Whitehaven & Workington
Pay Rate: £13.90 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 2:00pm
Contract: 2nd November - 18th December
Requirement: Enhanced DBS Check Required
We're looking for an experienced and reliable Cook to join a busy school catering team, covering sites in both Whitehaven and Workington.
Duties Include:
Preparing sandwiches and packed lunch items for students attending residential trips
Cooking approximately 30-40 meals per day
Producing a variety of hot meals such as sausage & mash and other daily specials
Preparing sandwiches, jacket potatoes and alternative lunch options
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
Following food safety regulations at all timesThe Ideal Candidate:
Previous cooking or catering experience
Comfortable working in a school environment
Able to work independently across two sites
Holds a valid DBS certificate or is happy to undergo a DBS check
Reliable, organised and passionate about providing quality mealsThis is a fantastic temporary opportunity with family-friendly daytime hours and no weekend work!
