Property Secretary / PA

Salary: £34,000–£37,000 depending on experience
We’re looking for an experienced Property Secretary / PA to join an established business in High Wycombe, providing secretarial and PA support within its property team.
The work is mainly commercial property, with some residential conveyancing and a varied client base.
This role would suit someone who enjoys being a trusted secretary and PA, keeping files organised, taking ownership of day-to-day tasks and making sure everything runs smoothly.
This is a dedicated secretarial and PA position, rather than a paralegal role. It would not suit someone looking for a stepping stone to a training contract.

Providing day-to-day secretarial and PA support.
-
Typing, preparing and amending legal documents, including using Track Changes.
-
Opening, maintaining, managing and closing both electronic and physical files.
-
Liaising regularly with clients and third parties.
-
Compiling and sending emails independently where appropriate, using your own initiative and judgement.
-
Supporting mainly commercial property work, alongside some residential conveyancing.
-
Carrying out Land Registry searches and dealing with applications and requisitions.
-
Preparing and submitting SDLT returns.
-
Keeping track of monies received and paid in relation to matters.
-
Preparing bills and chasing unpaid invoices.
-
Preparing cost schedules detailing searches and associated disbursements for residential and commercial property matters.
-
Monitoring deadlines and following up outstanding information.
-
Providing practical support with computer-based tasks, electronic documents and file management.
-
Anticipating what’s needed and keeping on top of day-to-day requirements.
Requirements
-
Previous experience as a Property Secretary or Legal PA within a legal practice.
-
Strong working knowledge of commercial property, with residential conveyancing experience also advantageous.
-
Experience with Land Registry searches, applications, requisitions and SDLT returns.
-
Accurate typing and document preparation skills, including using Track Changes.
-
Confident computer skills and a patient, practical approach to providing day-to-day IT assistance.
-
Experience managing electronic and physical files from opening through to closure.
-
Confidence communicating with clients and preparing correspondence independently.
-
Experience with billing, monitoring payments and chasing outstanding invoices.
-
Excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise with minimal supervision.
-
Someone dependable and proactive who enjoys being a trusted secretary and PA.
What’s on Offer
-
£34,000–£37,000 depending on experience.
-
Pension contributions following successful completion of probation.
-
A varied property workload with responsibility and autonomy.
-
The opportunity to become a valued part of an established team.
If you’re an experienced Property Secretary / PA who enjoys looking after the detail and keeping everything running smoothly, we’d love to hear from you
