Role Highlights for a Level 2 EYP
Position: Level 2 EYP.
Pay: £14.25-£16.65 per hour, depending on experience and assignment.
Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire.
Start: ASAP, following registration and safeguarding checks.
Working pattern: Supply and longer-term opportunities, depending on vacancies.Your Role as a Level 2 EYP
As a Level 2 EYP, you will work alongside the room team to help children feel settled and take part in age-appropriate activities.
Assist with setting up play spaces, resources and activities that encourage safe exploration.
Support communication through stories, songs and everyday conversations.
Help children with meals, hygiene and personal care using the setting's agreed procedures.
Observe children's responses and share relevant information with the room leader.What We Are Looking For in a Level 2 EYP
A Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Early Years, or higher, is essential.
A nurturing Level 2 EYP with experience in a nursery, preschool or comparable early years setting.
Understanding of EYFS practice, safeguarding awareness and confidence following care routines.
