Due to continued growth, we are looking for experienced CNC Millers to join the team in either:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and well-established manufacturer producing precision-machined components to exacting standards for a variety of high-specification industries.
The Role
As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines, with Programmer Setter Operators also creating and editing programs directly at the machine.
Duties will include:

Setting and operating CNC milling machines
-
Working from detailed engineering drawings
-
Producing precision components to tight tolerances
-
Conducting first-off and in-process inspections
-
Making tooling and offset adjustments as required
-
Maintaining high standards of quality and housekeeping
-
Ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently
Programmer Setter Operators
In addition to the above, you will:

Create, edit and optimise CNC programs with Heidenhain controls
-
Select appropriate tooling and machining strategies
-
Support continuous improvement of machining processes
-
Reduce cycle times while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
-
Previous experience as a CNC Miller within a precision engineering environment
-
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
-
Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
-
Strong understanding of tolerances and quality requirements
-
Ability to use inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges
-
Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
