A leading construction contractor is looking to recruit a Health & Safety Assistant to support a major, high-value construction project in South Wales, with a project value of up to £300 million.
What you'll be doing

Supporting the implementation and monitoring of health and safety policies, procedures and site standards

Carrying out regular site inspections and safety checks, identifying hazards and reporting any areas requiring improvement

Assisting with risk assessments, method statements and the review of safe systems of work

Helping to monitor compliance with health and safety legislation, company procedures and project requirements

Supporting accident and incident reporting, investigations and the implementation of corrective actions

Assisting with site inductions, toolbox talks and other health and safety briefings

Maintaining accurate H&S records, inspection reports and documentation while working closely with site teams and subcontractors
What we're looking for

Previous experience in a Health & Safety Assistant or similar role within the construction industry

Good understanding of health and safety legislation, site procedures and safe working practices

NEBOSH Construction Certificate or a relevant health and safety qualification would be advantageous
-
A proactive, organised individual with good communication skills and the confidence to engage with site teams and subcontractors
