The Role
As a CNC Programmer Setter Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC turning centres to manufacture precision-engineered components to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities

Programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC lathes using Mazatrol controls

Editing, proving out and optimising programmes at the machine

Producing first-off and in-process inspections
-
Working from detailed engineering drawings
-
Manufacturing components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards

Using a range of inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges
-
Identifying opportunities to improve cycle times and machining processes

Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area

Ensuring production targets and quality requirements are achieved
Candidate Requirements

Previous experience as a CNC Programmer Setter Operator (Turning)

Strong knowledge of Mazak machines and Mazatrol controls

Ability to programme online at the machine
-
Experience working within a precision engineering environment

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
-
Competent with measuring and inspection equipment

Excellent attention to detail and quality standards

Apprentice-trained engineers are encouraged to apply
