Transport Administrator
Location: Rochester, Kent
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off
Working Hours: 7:00am – 7:00pm
About the Role
We are currently looking for a reliable, organised and motivated Transport Administrator to join our busy transport operation in Rochester.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and build a long-term career in the transport and logistics industry. You will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the transport operation, working closely with colleagues, subcontractors and customers to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting the day-to-day running of the transport operation.

Liaising with subcontractors and customers in a professional and friendly manner.

Assisting with delivery planning and coordination.

Providing administrative support to the trunking operation.

Maintaining accurate records and updating information using Microsoft Office.

Communicating effectively with colleagues and external contacts.

Helping to ensure the transport operation runs efficiently in a busy working environment.
What We're Looking For
Ideally, you will have around two years' experience in a transport or logistics environment. However, we are happy to consider candidates with less experience who demonstrate the right attitude, a strong work ethic and a genuine willingness to learn.
You will also need:

Good communication skills and a confident telephone manner.

A reasonable level of IT knowledge, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

The ability to work well as part of a team.

The confidence to use your own initiative and manage tasks effectively.

A positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
