I am currently representing Enfield Council who are offering a permanent position for the right candidate
We are looking for a Finance Officer (Education & Schools) this role will be based at: Hybrid Working EN1 3ES
The right candidate will:
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality financial services across Education and Schools in Enfield.
Working as part of a professional and supportive finance team, you will support the delivery of a range of financial processes and activities across Education and Schools, helping to ensure the effective management of education-related funding and resources.
Responsibilities:

Provide financial support and advice to education and schools services.

Co-ordinate financial returns, reconciliations and year-end processes.

Support budget monitoring, forecasting and financial reporting.

Respond to queries and liaise with schools and other stakeholders.

Contribute to the delivery of an efficient and effective finance service.
We require the following:

Government experience ESSENTIAL

Relevant accountancy experience, working within a finance team related role in a local authority or wider public sector or not for profit organisation environment as part of Financial Accounting or Finance Business Partnering Teams

Experience of year end closing processes and dealing with audit queries
