FLT Counterbalance Driver / Yard Operative
Our client, based in Swadlincote, is looking for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver / Yard Operative to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis.
Working as part of a busy team, you will be responsible for safely moving heavy housebuilding products around the yard and supporting general site operations.
Main Duties FLT Counterbalance Driver

Operating a counterbalance forklift in the yard

Moving heavy housebuilding products and materials

Picking orders and preparing products for dispatch

Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required quality standards

Providing general support around the plant and yard

Reading measurements using the metric system, including centimetres and millimetres
Requirements FLT Counterbalance Driver

A valid and accredited FLT Counterbalance certificate is essential

Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift

Ability to work safely when handling heavy products

Ability to read metric measurements, including cm and mm
-
Flexibility to undertake additional training and operate other types of forklift equipment
Working Hours
Shifts:
Vacancies available on morning and afternoon fixed shifts, offering 40 hours paid per week.
Pay and Benefits

Starting rate of £14.37 per hour

Potential increases to £15.41 and £16.45 per hour for suitable candidates. Pay increases available following successful training and upskilling on additional forklift types

Overtime paid at:

1.25x Monday to Friday
-
1.5x Saturday
-
2x Sunday
This role may involve handling very heavy products, so a good level of physical fitness is required.
