TIG Welder / Fabricator – Temp to Perm
Location: Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire
Pay: £16.00 – £18.00 per hour, depending on experience

Our client, an established sheet metal manufacturing company based in Letchworth Garden City, is currently looking for an experienced TIG Welder / Fabricator to join their busy production team.
This is a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity for a skilled TIG Welder with fabrication experience who is looking for a long-term position with the opportunity to become permanent.
The successful candidate will be responsible for TIG welding and fabricating sheet metal components to a high standard, ensuring all work meets the required quality and specification standards.
Duties Will Include:
TIG welding sheet metal components to a high standard
Fabricating and assembling metal components from engineering drawings
Preparing materials for welding, including cutting, grinding and finishing
Working with a variety of sheet metal materials and thicknesses
Using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment
Measuring, marking out and checking components for accuracy
Producing neat, accurate and high-quality welds
Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
Fettling, polishing and finishing welded components when required
Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment
Following health & safety procedures at all times
Working closely with the production team to meet deadlines
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous TIG welding experience within a sheet metal or fabrication environment
Good fabrication and metalworking skills
Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
Confident using hand tools, grinders and fabrication equipment
Experience working with thin-gauge sheet metal would be advantageous
Good attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
Reliable, hardworking and punctual
Able to work independently and as part of a team
MIG welding experience would be beneficial but is not essential
Hours & Pay
Full-time, Temp to Perm
£16.00 – £18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
