Junior / Assistant Joinery Draughtsperson
£30,000 – £40,000 per annum | Minimum 3 years' experience | Full-time, Permanent | South West London
Armstrong Vinton Furniture is an established manufacturer of high-end bespoke furniture and architectural joinery, based in Parsons Green, South West London.
We're looking for a Junior / Assistant Joinery Draughtsperson to join our friendly, experienced team and support our existing drawing office.
This role would suit someone with at least three years' experience in joinery or furniture drafting who has a good understanding of how bespoke joinery is manufactured and wants to develop their technical skills while working on interesting, high-quality residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation of accurate, detailed production drawings for bespoke furniture and architectural joinery.
Work alongside our Senior Draughtspeople and Project Managers to develop drawings from design intent through to manufacture.
Produce technical details, sections and material specifications.
Assist with site surveys and checking dimensions.
Liaise with our workshop team to ensure drawings are practical, accurate and suitable for manufacture.
Help coordinate technical information, hardware specifications and drawing revisions.
Support the team with general project documentation and drawing administration.
The Ideal Candidate:
A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in joinery or bespoke furniture drafting.
A background in furniture making or cabinetmaking is strongly preferred, with a practical understanding of how bespoke furniture is constructed.
Competent in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
A good practical understanding of bespoke furniture and architectural joinery construction.
Familiarity with joinery materials, finishes, fittings and hardware.
Able to produce accurate technical drawings with good attention to detail.
Organised, reliable and comfortable working to deadlines.
A good communicator who enjoys working as part of a team.
Keen to learn, improve and take on more responsibility as their experience develops.
What We Offer:
Full-time, permanent PAYE position.
Salary of £30,000 – £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
28 days' holiday per year, including bank holidays.
