NXTGEN are working with a fantastic accountancy practice on the outskirts of Wymondham who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their supportive team. Having worked closely with this client for several years, I know they offer a great environment for someone who wants to build on their existing experience, take on more responsibility and progress their career.
You'll be joining a friendly and supportive team, working with a varied portfolio of local SME clients and gaining exposure to a range of year-end accounts, management accounts, tax and VAT work. You'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with your clients, become their main point of contact and support them with their day-to-day accounting needs, all while continuing to develop your technical knowledge and experience alongside your studies.
Key Responsibilities:

Preparing year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of local SME clients.

Assisting with tax returns, VAT returns and other accounting requirements.

Preparing management accounts.

Building relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact for any queries.

Supporting clients with their day-to-day accounting needs.

Working closely with the wider team to continue building on your existing knowledge and experience.

Working across a range of accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage and Xero.
