Academics is currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across primary schools in Barry and the wider Vale of Glamorgan. We have a range of opportunities available for individuals with experience working with children, whether you have previously worked as an LSA or gained valuable experience in another setting.

The Role
Supporting pupils with their learning and development in primary school settings.
Assisting teachers with classroom activities and day-to-day learning.
Helping create a positive, safe and supportive learning environment.
Working with pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
Picking up flexible, ad-hoc shifts or securing longer-term placements within the same school.
Flexible Working Opportunities
Ad-hoc supply: Choose how many days you work each week, fitting shifts around your existing commitments.
Long-term placements: Opportunities to work consistently within the same primary school, with bookings available for up to five days per week.
Local opportunities: Work across Barry and the wider Vale of Glamorgan.
We're Looking For
Experience working with children in any setting.
Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant is desirable.
A patient, adaptable and supportive approach.
Confidence working alongside teachers and other school staff.
A genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development.
Pay & Requirements
£93 per day, with potential increases depending on the school's rate, your qualifications and experience.
Enhanced DBS certificate required.
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) required.
