Temporary Accomodation Administrator
Hourly rate: £15.31
Location: Woodrow Centre Redditch B98 7RY/ Hybrid
Working hours: Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm
This role is a temporary 3-month contract, hybrid working a minimum of 2 days in the office set days Monday & Tuesdays and 3 days working from home.
Role Overview:
Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Redditch Borough Council for a Temporary Accommodation Administrator to support the activities of the homelessness and temporary accommodation teams in the effective provision of statutory nightly accommodation for homeless households, you will provide business and financial support to the teams ensuring compliance and effective operation of the financial and housing systems.
Main Duties:

Liaison and advice to agents, client, officers and others in connection with the delivery of temporary accommodation services.

To process all financial matters and maintain appropriate financial control records, fully utilise provided technology to operate services and work within the corporate performance framework.

Have responsibility for managing the occupation income for a portfolio of temporary accommodation units.

To deliver an effective income collection and recovery service in accordance with legislation, the Councils policies, performance standards, targets and customer satisfaction requirements.

Bring barriers, blockages or problems that will prevent meetings deadlines or targets to the attention of managers promptly so that action can be taken.

Work closely with the Neighbourhood and Tenancy plus Housing Revenue teams to ensure that they have all the correct and accurate, information they require for any tenancy agreement sign up, including any assigned debts as soon as possible after the allocation is confirmed.

Responsible for creating new applicants and accounts in the Housing Management System accurately and timely to ensure the legal obligations for both landlord and licensee can be carried out from the date of occupation.

Assist with the production, content and design of all forms and information, ensuring that it is kept updated when changes are made, or new legislation applies.

Be aware of the requirement for prudent control of expenditure, always acting with a high degree of integrity and transparency and in accordance with financial regulation and policy.
The successful candidate will have good customer care skills and experience processing invoices.
