Press Brake Setter / Operator
Location: Warrington
Pay Rate: £15.31 per hour
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 7am–3pm | Friday, 7am–12pm
Hours per week: 37
Overtime: Available when required
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Setter/Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment in Warrington.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating press brake machinery to produce high-quality, accurate components in line with engineering drawings and production requirements.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in press brake setting, sheet metal work or fabrication who takes pride in producing quality work.
Key Responsibilities

Set and operate CNC press brake machines, including AMADA equipment.

Select and fit the correct tooling for each job.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Programme and adjust machines when changing between jobs.

Work with different sheet metal materials and thicknesses.

Ensure components meet required measurements and quality standards.

Carry out quality inspections and maintain accurate production records.

Meet production targets and deadlines.

Carry out basic machine maintenance and report faults or breakdowns.

Work closely with the production team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.

Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workspace.
Essential Requirements

Previous experience setting and operating press brake machinery.

Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or sheet metal environment.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Understanding of press brake tooling, bending operations and material specifications.

Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Experience
-
Previous experience with AMADA press brakes.

Sheet metal fabrication or electrical containment manufacturing.

Experience with CNC programming and machine adjustments.

Relevant machine operation qualifications.

FLT or scissor lift experience
