I'm currently working with a well-established technology consultancy that's looking to hire a Network Solutions Architect for a permanent position. The role offers a mix of remote working, office collaboration, and travel to client sites across the North East, supporting a diverse portfolio of enterprise and critical infrastructure customers.
This is a senior, hands-on architecture role where you'll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through to implementation and handover. Projects are varied and include network modernisation, wireless refreshes, firewall migrations, network segmentation, SD-WAN deployments, cloud connectivity, and secure infrastructure initiatives.
Key experience they're looking for includes:
✅ Strong Cisco and/or Meraki networking expertise across switching, routing, wireless and security
✅ Experience designing and delivering LAN, WAN and WLAN solutions
✅ Firewall migration and implementation experience (Cisco, Fortinet or Palo Alto)
✅ Network segmentation, secure connectivity and SD-WAN knowledge
✅ Client-facing consulting or technical leadership experience
✅ Ideally 5+ years in network design and implementation
Additional experience with cloud networking, operational technology (OT), critical infrastructure environments, Infoblox, or large-scale wireless deployments would be highly beneficial.
The position offers a salary package upto £72k, depending on experience, alongside opportunities to work on technically complex and high-profile projects across multiple industries
