The Opportunity
Our client, a leading Tier 1 contractor, is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to support the delivery of a major rail infrastructure project. This contract opportunity will focus on managing complex construction packages including reinforced concrete works, drainage, structural steel, temporary works, architectural fit-out, shafts and headhouses.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, within budget and in accordance with strict quality requirements on a large-scale rail project.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Agent and Project Manager in delivering key project milestones.
Manage and coordinate site operations, engineering teams and subcontractors.
Oversee construction activities involving:
Reinforced Concrete Structures
Drainage Works
Concrete Walls and Slabs
Structural Steel Installation
Temporary Works
Architectural Fit-Out Packages
Shafts and Headhouses
Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with approved construction methodologies and project requirements.
Review and approve RAMS, ITPs and work package plans.
Monitor progress against programme and implement recovery actions where necessary.
Drive health, safety, environmental and quality performance on site.
Liaise with designers, commercial teams, subcontractors and client representatives.
Support cost control, reporting and change management processes.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards and contractual obligations.
Essential Experience
Minimum 10 years' construction or civil engineering experience.
Minimum 5 years' experience operating as a Sub Agent on major infrastructure projects.
Proven experience delivering works within rail, heavy civils, tunnelling or major infrastructure environments.
Demonstrable experience managing:
Construction Fit-Out
Reinforced Concrete
Drainage
Concrete Walls and Slabs
Structural Steel
Temporary Works
Architectural Fit-Out
Shafts and Headhouses
Experience working for Tier 1 contractors on large and complex infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, planning, temporary works coordination and subcontractor management.
Ability to manage multiple work fronts and deliver against challenging programme requirements.
