Fabricator / Welder

Location: Halifax Pay Rate: Up to £17.00 per hour DOE Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm Job Type: Temp to Perm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join a busy manufacturing team based in Halifax.

The successful candidate will have strong fabrication and MIG welding experience, with the ability to read and work from technical drawings. This is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate looking for a long-term position with the potential to secure a permanent role.

Responsibilities:

Fabricate and assemble components using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment.
MIG weld components to a high standard.
Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Cut, shape and modify sheet metal and other materials.
Assemble and fit components accurately.
Carry out quality checks on completed work.
Use workshop equipment including grinders, cutting tools and other machinery safely.
Work as part of a team to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Fabricator/Welder.
Good MIG welding skills.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Competent with hand tools and power tools.
Good understanding of fabrication and mechanical assembly.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
Minimum of 5 years' relevant fabrication experience required for the £17.00 per hour rate.
