Yolk Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Toolmaker to join a growing engineering team within a precision manufacturing environment.
This role offers a varied workload, combining precision tool manufacture, refurbishment, tooling improvements and engineering support. You'll work closely with Production, Product Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure tooling meets the demands of a fast-moving manufacturing operation.
This is what you'll be doing
You'll be responsible for supporting production through the manufacture, improvement and maintenance of precision tooling using a range of conventional and semi-CNC machine tools.
Manufacture new tooling and tooling components from engineering drawings
Refurbish, modify and improve existing tooling
Work on tooling projects supporting new products and manufacturing developments
Provide practical engineering solutions to manufacturing challenges
Contribute to tooling innovation, process improvement and operational efficiencyThe experience you'll bring to the team
Proven Toolmaker or Toolroom Engineering experience
Strong manual and CNC machining capability
Experience producing precision tooling to demanding tolerances
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Strong communication and problem-solving skillsThere's also some must haves
Apprentice-trained or equivalent engineering background
Milling and turning experience
Ability to work a rotating two-shift patternAnd this is what you'll get in return
