Salary: £92.63 - £115 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ SEMH alternative provision in Failsworth. The setting provides education for pupils across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 who have social, emotional and mental health needs.
The provision is looking to appoint an SEMH Youth Worker on a long-term basis, starting after October half term. You will support pupils to engage with learning and build positive relationships, using a calm, consistent approach to managing challenging behaviour.
The successful SEMH Youth Worker will have:
Experience managing challenging behaviour (essential)
An understanding of social, emotional and mental health needs
The ability to build trust with young people and encourage their engagement in learning
Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with teaching and support staff
A patient, resilient and consistent approach to supporting pupils
