The Finance Systems & Data Analyst will play a key role in supporting the accounting and finance team with data management and system optimisation. Based in Aylesford, this temporary role ensures the smooth running of financial systems and accurate reporting to aid decision-making.

Description
Support the development and ongoing improvement of financial and management reporting across the organisation.
Assist in the design, build and maintenance of dynamic Power BI dashboards and other business intelligence solutions.
Work with the wider Finance team to turn financial data into clear, meaningful and accessible management information.
Support the development of KPI and performance reporting to support the Executive Team, operational management and Board reporting.
Work with Finance and operational stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate these into effective reporting solutions.
Contribute to Improving the visualisation and accessibility of financial information, moving reporting towards interactive and dashboard-based solutions where appropriate.
Support the development of budgeting, forecasting and financial performance reporting.
Identify opportunities to reduce reliance on manually produced spreadsheets through greater automation and integration of data.
Undertake analysis of financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, risks and opportunities.
Support the development of reporting that provides greater insight into the underlying drivers of financial performance.
Assist Finance Business Partners and operational managers with analysis and interpretation of financial information.
Contribute to the development of appropriate data models, reporting structures and measures to support consistent financial analysis.
Help bring together financial and operational data to provide a more complete view of organisational performance.
Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis and modelling to inform business decisions.
Support the continued development and optimisation of the Acumatica ERP system from a Finance perspective.
Help identify opportunities to make greater use of existing ERP functionality and reduce manual processes and workarounds.
Work collaboratively with Finance, Operations, IT and external partners to develop reporting and data solutions using information held within Acumatica.
Assist with the implementation of system enhancements, integrations and new functionality.
Help ensure financial processes and reporting requirements are appropriately reflected within ERP design and configuration.
Support testing and implementation of system developments affecting Finance.
Act as a key Finance support contact for ERP reporting and data requirements.
Support the Finance team in maintaining the accuracy, completeness and consistency of financial data across systems.
Assist in developing and maintaining appropriate controls and reconciliations to support confidence in management information.
Identify potential data quality issues and work with relevant teams to address their underlying causes.
Support the consistent application of definitions and reporting methodologies for financial KPIs and management information.
Support appropriate data governance and reporting standards across Finance.
Support the delivery of agreed Finance systems, reporting and data improvement priorities during the 12-month contract period, ensuring solutions and processes are appropriately documented and embedded within the wider Finance team.
Support reviews of existing financial reporting and analytical processes and identify opportunities for simplification and automation.
Profile
· Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with relevant experience gained within a Finance function.
· Good understanding of management accounting, financial reporting and core accounting principles.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
· Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial datasets.
· Experience producing and improving management information and financial reporting.
· Experience using Power BI or similar business intelligence/reporting tools.
· Confidence working with financial and operational datasets and identifying issues within underlying data.
· Good understanding of ERP systems and how financial information flows through them.
· Experience identifying and implementing reporting or process improvements.
· Ability to translate business requirements into practical reporting and analytical solutions.
Job Offer
An hourly rate of £23 to £28, dependent on the level of experience.
