Job Title: Administrator (Payroll Department)
Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 PA DOE
Hours: 30-37.5 hours, Monday to Friday flexible dependant on the candidate. The company also offers flexi time with 10am - 4pm being the core hours

The Role
You'll become part of a friendly, experienced team who will provide full training from day one, helping you build your knowledge and confidence while supporting you towards a recognised payroll qualification.
As a Trainee Payroll Administrator, you'll learn the ins and outs of payroll administration, starting with core administrative and data processing tasks before progressing into more technical payroll responsibilities as your skills develop
What You'll Be Learning
Assisting with weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll processing
Maintaining and updating payroll records
Processing starter, leaver, and employee information changes
Preparing payslips and payroll reports
Supporting HMRC and pension administration
Responding to client queries and delivering excellent customer service
Assisting with data entry, system updates, and general administration
Developing an understanding of payroll legislation and complianceAbout You
We're looking for someone with enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to learn.
You'll ideally have:
An interest in numbers, finance, payroll, or accountancy
Strong administration or data processing skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems
A friendly and professional approach to customer service
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
The ability to stay organised and manage deadlinesNo payroll experience is needed - full training will be provided. What matters most is your attitude, work ethic, and desire to build a long-term career.
