About the Role
The Burford Recruitment Company is looking for an experienced and creative Marketing Executive to take responsibility for our day-to-day marketing activity and help develop our brand and presence across the Cotswolds and the specialist sectors in which we operate.
This is a varied, hands-on role covering content creation, social media, digital marketing, publishing, website management, networking and occasional events.
Working closely with the Directors, you will be expected to manage your own workload, bring forward new ideas and take ownership of marketing projects from concept through to delivery, helping ensure The Burford Recruitment Company continues to build a strong and recognisable presence within the markets we serve.
Key Responsibilities
Magazine & Content

Manage the production of our biannual magazine,

Source and coordinate articles, contributors, advertisers and partners

Liaise with printers and other suppliers

Write, edit and proofread articles and marketing content

Identify relevant topics, features and content opportunities

Repurpose magazine content across social media, email and our websites
Social Media & Content Creation

Manage the company's social media channels

Develop and maintain a regular content calendar

Promote vacancies, company news, magazine content and industry insights
-
Monitor engagement and identify opportunities to grow our audience
-
Maintain a consistent tone, style and visual identity across all channels
Website Management

Develop and maintain our website platforms
-
Maintain strong SEO and readability scores across website content
-
Monitor website traffic, performance and conversions
-
Identify and implement improvements to content, usability and search visibility
Events & Networking

Identify relevant networking, partnership and sponsorship opportunities for Directors and Consultants to attend

Help develop and organise approximately 1–2 company events per year
Management, Training & Mentoring

Manage and develop a part-time Marketing Administrator

Delegate and oversee day-to-day marketing tasks and projects

Provide training, mentoring and constructive feedback
Marketing Planning

Work with the Directors to develop the annual marketing plan

Maintain a marketing calendar covering campaigns, content, the magazine, events and key dates

Generate ideas for campaigns and initiatives that support the company's objectives

Monitor the effectiveness of marketing activity and report on key results
About You
Candidates should have knowledge of Website management and SEO, Magazine or publishing projects, Copywriting and editorial content and Event organisation.
They should be commercially aware, with an understanding of how marketing can support enquiries and business growth, and able to work collaboratively within a small, entrepreneurial team.
You do not need to be a specialist in every area. We are looking for someone with a broad marketing skill set who can confidently take ownership of the role while recognising when specialist external support may be required
