School Caretaker - Secondary School
Location: Sittingbourne
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
Start: ASAP
I am currently recruiting for an experienced School Caretaker to join a busy secondary school in Sittingbourne.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the school site, ensuring the buildings and grounds are safe, secure and well maintained.
Key responsibilities:
Opening and securing the school site
Daily site and security checks
General maintenance and minor repairs
Ensuring the school is clean, safe and well presented
Setting up rooms and areas for school activities and events
Liaising with contractors and reporting maintenance issues
General premises and facilities dutiesThe ideal candidate will have:
Previous caretaking, premises or facilities experience
Good general maintenance skills
A reliable and practical approach
Good awareness of health & safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous school experience would be advantageous
A valid DBS or be willing to undergo a DBS checkPlease note: Candidates must have a DBS in place or be willing to complete the DBS process before starting.
