Key responsibilities for this Crime Solicitor opportunity:
Manage a caseload of criminal matters, including theft, assault, drug offences, and other criminal offences.
Conduct legal research, analyse case law, and prepare legal arguments to support clients’ cases.
Provide clear and effective legal advice to clients throughout the criminal justice process.
Represent clients in Magistrates’ Court proceedings and advocate effectively on their behalf.
Prepare and present cases, with a focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.
Liaise with clients, barristers, and other professionals to ensure effective case management.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and legal documentation.
Requirements for this Crime Solicitor role:
Qualified Solicitor with 1–3 years’ PQE in criminal law.
Strong knowledge of criminal law, procedures, and regulations.
Experience independently managing a varied criminal caseload.
Strong advocacy, negotiation, and case management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
