Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established, family-run business based in Lichfield. This is an excellent opportunity to join the warehouse team as a Forklift Truck Driver on a full-time, permanent basis.

You’ll be joining a busy warehouse environment where teamwork, accuracy and safety are important. The role involves working closely with the wider warehouse team to ensure stock is replenished, moved and stored safely while helping the operation run efficiently.
Personality
We’re looking for someone hardworking, reliable and safety-conscious who is comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You’ll need to be physically fit due to the demands of the role, confident working under pressure and able to process information accurately while working around other members of the warehouse team.

£100 monthly bonus when order despatch targets are achieved, payable following successful completion of the 3-month probation period

Job Role
-
Operating an Aisle Master/Pivot forklift truck safely within a busy warehouse

Using computer software to create stock replenishment lists
-
Moving, adjusting and replenishing stock using a handheld scanner
-
Loading and organising shelving in line with health and safety standards

Reporting damaged stock and any discrepancies

Working safely around colleagues picking and putting away stock

Taking extra care when operating the forklift within active warehouse areas

Supporting the wider warehouse operation to ensure daily targets are achieved

Working overtime when required to support operational demands
Skills and Experience
-
Holding a valid Bendi/Pivot forklift truck licence

Demonstrating previous experience operating a forklift within a warehouse environment

Being confident using computer software and handheld scanners

Possessing strong communication skills and a good standard of English due to the volume of information processed within the role

Maintaining a high level of awareness and attention to health and safety

Being physically fit and comfortable undertaking a physically demanding role

Working effectively under pressure and meeting required targets

Demonstrating a hardworking, reliable and team-focused approach
