Are you an experienced Highways Ganger looking for your next freelance opportunity?
A new freelance opportunity has become available for a Highways Ganger based in Oxfordshire, working on planned highways term maintenance and civils works across the area.
The Opportunity
You'll be responsible for leading a gang on day-to-day highways maintenance works, ensuring activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
The works will cover a variety of highways and civils activities, including:
·Road repairs and replacement
·Footway repairs and replacement
·Drainage, ditches and grips
·Kerbs and edgings
·Road markings
·Modular surfaces
·Traffic management
·Reactive repairs
·Open spaces
You'll work closely with the Foreman and wider site team, coordinating your gang, allocating daily tasks and ensuring works are delivered safely and to programme.
What We're Looking For
·Previous experience as a Ganger / Highways Ganger / Working Supervisor
·Strong highways background
·Experience leading and coordinating a gang
·Knowledge of highways maintenance and associated works
·Good understanding of health & safety and site requirements
·CSCS
·SSSTS would be advantageous
·First Aid would be advantageous
