Powder Coater
Location: Hitchin, Hertfordshire
Pay: From £14.00 per hour, with pay reviewed based on performance and experience
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–4:00pm | Friday, 7:00am–1:30pm
Position: Temp-to-Perm, Full-Time
The Role
We’re recruiting for an experienced Powder Coater to join a small, established team based in Hitchin.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who takes genuine pride in their work and is looking for a long-term position with a company where the quality of the finish really matters.
The successful candidate will initially join on a temporary basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful temp-to-perm period.

What You’ll Be Doing
The role will involve all aspects of powder coating, including:
Preparing components and surfaces ready for coating
Setting up and operating powder coating equipment
Applying powder coatings evenly and to the required finish
Working to different specifications, colours and finishes
Inspecting completed work and maintaining high quality standards
Identifying and correcting issues with the finish where required
Keeping your work area and equipment clean and well maintained
Working effectively alongside the wider production team
Following relevant health and safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
Ideally, you’ll have at least 2 years’ experience working on a powder coating line and be comfortable with the day-to-day requirements of the role.
Just as importantly, the client is looking for the right attitude.
Reliability, attendance, commitment and pride in your work are essential. This role will suit someone who genuinely cares about producing a good finish and wants a long-term position they can settle into.
You’ll already have a good understanding of powder coating, but there will be support and additional training along the way.
