Our client, a prominent organisation in the law enforcement sector, is seeking a dedicated and skilled PIP 2 Investigator to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering justice and making a meaningful impact in the community.
Contract Type: Temporary
Hourly Rate: £21.63 per hour
Working Pattern: Full Time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
Driving Required: Yes

Role Overview:
The PIP 2 Investigator will play a crucial role in managing and progressing investigations into serious and complex criminal offences. This position involves working within a mixed economy team comprising police officers and support staff, ensuring investigations are conducted efficiently and effectively while maintaining the highest standards of victim care.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and undertake investigations utilising advanced techniques and technologies to detect and reduce crime.
Conduct interviews with suspects and witnesses to gather evidence and identify further investigative opportunities.
Prioritise and analyse intelligence and evidence, employing appropriate forensic techniques to optimise outcomes.
Deliver a victim-centred service, ensuring ongoing support for victims throughout the investigation process.
Create and submit high-quality prosecution files, compliant with current guidelines and within required timescales.
Process digital evidence (e.g., mobile devices, CCTV) to meet court standards.
Attend court hearings to provide evidence and support the prosecution team.
Collaborate with partner agencies to safeguard vulnerable victims and develop multi-agency strategies.What's Required:
PIP 1 accreditation is essential, along with a commitment to obtaining a National Investigators Exam (NIE) pass within two attempts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to engage effectively with diverse communities.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
Demonstrated experience in a team environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
A full UK driving licence is mandatory due to the travel requirements of the role.Additional Information:
The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly, potentially outside of regular hours, to meet the demands of serious investigations.
Psychological screening may be required for roles involving sensitive cases.
