Main purpose of the role:
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents.
- Support residents with their daily living and personal care needs.
- Promote dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.
- Work as part of the care team to ensure residents receive safe and consistent care.
Main responsibilities
- Supporting residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, continence care and oral hygiene.
- Assisting with mobility and transfers, following moving and handling procedures.
- Supporting residents with meals, drinks and nutrition.
- Providing companionship and encouraging social activities.
- Following individual care plans and risk assessments.
- Observing residents and reporting any changes in their physical or emotional wellbeing.
- Maintaining accurate care records and completing required documentation.
- Following safeguarding, infection control, health & safety and other care-home policies.
- Working respectfully with residents, relatives and colleagues.
- Maintaining residents’ privacy, dignity and confidentiality.
- Responding appropriately to emergencies and seeking support when required.
Required-
- Right to work in the UK.
- Previous experience in a residential/nursing care setting
