Parts Counter Assistant
Salary: £34,000 - £36,000
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Parts Counter Assistant to join a busy parts department within the construction and plant machinery sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous parts experience who is organised, customer-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
The Parts Counter Assistant Key Responsibilities:
Deal with customer parts enquiries via phone, email and over the counter
Identify and supply the correct parts for customers and engineers
Process parts orders accurately and efficiently
Support the service department with parts requirements
Manage stock levels, picking, restocking and stock checks
Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers regarding availability
Raise purchase orders, invoices and dispatch paperwork
Process cash and card payments
Maintain an organised and safe parts/warehouse area
Identify opportunities for additional parts salesRequirements needed from the Parts Counter Assistant:
Previous experience within a Parts / Parts Advisor / Parts Counter role
Good customer service and communication skills
Strong IT and administration skills
Organised with the ability to prioritise workloads
Comfortable working within a busy parts environment
FLT experience/licence advantageous, although training can be provided
