Flood Risk & Drainage Consultant

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
A growing environmental consultancy is looking for a Flood Risk & Drainage Consultant to join its team in London. The role would suit someone with experience in flood risk, drainage design and planning who is looking to develop their technical and project management skills.
The role:
Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies for residential and commercial developments.
Undertake surface water and flood risk assessments in line with current planning requirements.
Design sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and drainage networks.
Carry out hydraulic modelling and interpret modelling results.
Liaise with local authorities, Lead Local Flood Authorities, developers and other consultants.
Provide technical input to planning applications and discharge of planning conditions.
Support projects from initial feasibility through to detailed design and completion.
Assist with technical reports, drawings, specifications and other project documentation.The ideal candidate:
Experience within flood risk, drainage or civil engineering consultancy.
Good understanding of drainage design, SuDS and UK planning requirements.
Experience preparing FRAs and drainage strategies.
Hydraulic modelling experience would be beneficial.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
