We at JKR are excited to be recruiting a Production and Materials Controller for one of our long-standing clients, a world-leading manufacturer within their industry!
This is a varied and hands-on position within a growing SME, supporting production planning, materials, quality, suppliers and customer orders. The successful candidate will play an important role in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly as the company enters its next phase of growth.
Production and Materials Controller Roles and Responsibilities:

Carry out quality control inspections on incoming goods and finished products

Develop a strong working understanding of components and liaise with suppliers to resolve quality or technical issues

Manage supplier issues, investigate problems and report findings and solutions to senior management

Use MRP systems to manage purchasing and material requirements

Plan and coordinate production against targets, ensuring materials and resources are available to support each department

Monitor progress against KPIs and react quickly to production or operational issues

Work closely with the wider team to identify and cover potential production shortfalls

Receive and process customer consumable orders accurately and efficiently
-
Support Health & Safety administration, ensuring requirements and procedures are maintained and adhered to

Provide clear and accurate updates to senior management
Production and Materials Controller Ideal Candidate:
-
Previous experience using MRP systems is essential

Experience within production planning, materials, purchasing, quality or a similar manufacturing environment

Good technical understanding

Exceptionally organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a varied workload

Proactive and confident setting priorities, while being able to react quickly when unexpected issues arise

Comfortable working within a fast-paced and ever-changing environment

Flexible and adaptable, with a positive, hands-on approach to supporting the wider business

Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a diverse and experienced team
Production and Materials Controller Working Hours:
-
Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30

Friday: 07:30 – 14:30
Production and Materials Controller Benefits:

Shipment Bonus: £1,000 per shipment, up to four shipments per year

Quality Control Bonus: £2,000 annual bonus for no finished goods QC issues

Supplier Savings Bonus: 10% of qualifying annual supplier savings over £10,000
