Baler Operative
Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts – 6:00am–2:00pm / 2:00pm–10:00pm
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Baler Operative to join a busy production/manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role responsible for operating baling equipment, handling waste and recyclable materials, and ensuring the production area remains safe, clean and organised.
Duties will include:
Operating and monitoring baling machinery
Loading cardboard, plastic and other recyclable/waste materials into the baler
Removing, securing and preparing completed bales for collection
Moving materials safely around the production area
Carrying out basic checks on machinery before use
Reporting any faults or maintenance issues
Keeping the baler and surrounding work areas clean and tidy
Supporting production and warehouse teams when required
Manual handling and other general production duties
Following all Health & Safety procedures, including correct PPE and safe systems of work
Working efficiently to keep waste areas clear and prevent disruption to production
The ideal candidate:
Previous baler experience would be beneficial but is not essential if you have experience within a production, warehouse, recycling or manufacturing environment.
You must be comfortable with a physical, hands-on role, have a good attitude towards Health & Safety and be happy working a rotating shift pattern.
Hours: Rotating weekly shifts
Week 1: 6:00am–2:00pm
Week 2: 2:00pm–10:00pm
