An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Operations and Maintenance team at Lancashire Renewables Ltd. working at our Leyland facility, working alternating shift patterns, Monday to Friday, between 6am – 10pm.
What you’ll be doing
The Anaerobic Digestion Operative (ADO) will be responsible for running day-to-day reception and front-end operations, ensuring safe, efficient unloading of household food waste, correct loading of the hammermill/de-packaging line/feed hopper, and smooth transfer to the hydrolysis/AD feed system. The role supports plant start-up/shutdown, routine checks of key process parameters, housekeeping, traffic control, and provides hands-on assistance to wider waste-processing activities as required.
What you will bring
To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have the following:
National Plant Operators Registration Scheme or equivalent for FEL, FLT and Tele-truck
Knowledge of basic mobile plant inspections and checks
Good communication skills including use of radio communications.
Good organizational abilities.
Strong teamwork.
Mechanical aptitude.

Who are we?
Lancashire Renewables Ltd was established for the operation and management of the two waste treatment facilities built for the Lancashire Waste Contract.
Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. Both sites can process over 5,000 tonnes of residual (black bin bag) waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill.
Our aim is to achieve a sustainable future for Lancashire by providing services to process biodegradable and non-biodegradable household waste and our people are vital in helping us achieve this.
