CNC Machinist
Location: Near Oxford, Oxfordshire (20 min drive)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x basic rate
Hours: 37 hours per week – early Friday finish

Syntech Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a highly respected aerospace engineering and manufacturing business near Oxford.
Due to continued growth and a very busy order book, the company is looking to add another skilled machinist to its established manufacturing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Miller, CNC Turner or MillTurn Machinist looking for a strong basic salary alongside regular overtime paid at 1.5x.

CNC Machinist Responsibilities
-
Set and operate CNC Milling, Turning and MillTurn machines
-
Work primarily with Fanuc and Siemens-controlled machinery
-
Set, operate and edit CNC programmes
-
Manufacture high-precision components to tight tolerances
-
Read and interpret engineering drawings
-
Carry out self-inspection of completed components
-
Use handheld inspection equipment including verniers, calipers and micrometers

Operate a Mitutoyo CMM running M-Cosmos software
-
Ensure components meet stringent aerospace quality standards
CNC Machinist Requirements
-
Previous experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Miller, CNC Turner or similar

Strong CNC setting and operating experience

Experience using Fanuc controls

Ability to edit CNC programmes at the machine

Experience machining precision components to tight tolerances

Aerospace, motorsport, defence or precision engineering experience would be highly advantageous

Experience using verniers, calipers, micrometers and similar inspection equipment

Ability to confidently read engineering drawings
