Technical Sales Estimator
Salary: £35,000–£45,000 depending on experience
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 7:15am–4:15pm | Friday, 7:15am–3:00pm
Holiday: 28 days inclusive of statutory holidays, increasing with service to 33 days inclusive
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Estimator to join a successful and growing business specialising in aluminium windows and doors.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Business Owner, this is primarily an office-based role offering the opportunity to take ownership of the estimating and technical design process across a diverse range of projects.
You will be responsible for producing accurate aluminium window and door designs, preparing detailed quotations and providing technical support throughout the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
Produce detailed aluminium window and door designs using LogiKal.
Prepare accurate estimates, quotations and technical submissions.
Ensure designs and quotations meet customer requirements and comply with relevant UK Building Regulations and industry standards.
Lead the estimating process across a variety of projects, including schools, offices, commercial developments and residential schemes.
Respond to new opportunities and contribute to tender submissions and technical proposals.
Liaise with customers, architects, suppliers, installation companies and other third parties to ensure projects are clearly understood and accurately priced.
Provide technical knowledge and guidance to customers and internal colleagues.
Review drawings, specifications and project requirements to identify technical or commercial considerations.
Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring estimates, designs and submissions are delivered accurately and within agreed deadlines.
Build strong working relationships with customers and key project stakeholders.
About You
We are looking for an experienced estimator with a strong background in aluminium windows and doors and a good understanding of the technical requirements associated with the industry.
You will ideally have:
Extensive experience estimating aluminium window and door products.
Excellent working knowledge and practical experience of LogiKal.
Strong technical understanding of aluminium fenestration systems.
Experience working with architects, suppliers, installers and other multidisciplinary teams.
Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations, fire safety requirements and relevant industry standards.
Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills.
The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A proactive, organised and commercially aware approach.
